With Valentine’s Day and Chinese New Year just around the corner on the 14th we thought it might be a good idea to send you a quick mid-month email to keep you up to date with all the great things happening at Kwai 2. We are also going to hold a draw from amongst our registered website guests but more details of that later.

Somchai's Sunday Lunches

Thank you to all of you who have made the introduction of our 'Thai hot' dishes on Sundays such a success. Our mission to bring a little heat to February appears to have been well received. Our head chef, Somchai, now produces a number of extra hot dishes on a Sunday. These would suit the Thai palate as well as chilli lovers the world over. Somchai is a little worried, however, that some of you may not have seen the supplemental Sunday menu as some people are not venturing to the hotter dishes. Now if this is a preference for a milder dish then rest assured our full menu is always available. If you haven’t seen the separate 'Somchai's Sunday' menu then please ask one of the staff.

Refurbishing the Outside

As part of our responsibility for our listed building we are carrying out some maintenance on the outside of Kwai 2. You will see scaffolding and craftspeople working over the coming weeks. In case you are worried about whether this affects your booking, please don't be. The work is all external and Kwai 2 will remain fully open for business throughout.

A Thank You From Us

To thank all of you who have signed up to our website we are going to hold a draw for a free meal* at the Kwai. The draw will be made at random from all of the email addresses registered on our website on 15th March. The prize is a free main course and rice for one person when accompanied by a second person paying full price. We will take the lower priced of the two dishes off your bill.

Valentines Day

As you know, Valentine's Day falls on a Sunday this year. As well as our regular Sunday lunchtime service we are also opening for a special Valentine's Day dinner from 12am (noon) to 9:30pm. We still have a few tables for two left if you would like to come along and share a romantic meal. Please give us a call on 01256 476828 and let us know. We will put the champagne on ice for you.
